A long time ago, in a dot com far, far away, I worked with Bill Ko. Along with Rose and Ally, we formed the Shockwave.com lunch bunch. Now, we're all scattered to the four winds... literally since Rose is in Arizona, Bill is in Taiwan and Ally is in Sacramento and I am still here, mining coal (working) for a diamond grinder (a micro-manager).
The fact that I stay in relative good touch with these people, contradicts one of the main doctrines I've managed to maintain throughout my life... which is to stay shallow, moving from friendship to friendship without becoming attached or developing strong bonds. While I have a great many casual friendships, I can count the number of good friends I have on one hand. Most people would consider this a piss-poor way of conducting one's life but I've found that it makes it rather easy to make life decisions. So, now is a good time to apologize if I've dropped you by the wayside... sorry, but you should have been more interesting.
