I read tons of blogs... actually, I read tons of really bad blogs (some of the links on my sidebar are the exceptions). Not to say that mine is any great shakes but while I might not be able to reproduce the literary excellence that is in my sidebar list within the confines of my own anemic blog, I can safely recognize good from bad. Take Dopey Nowhere for example. By far one of the most compelling blogs I read. While he may not update as much as some, what he puts down, he makes worthwhile.
I know him. Met him and shared a beer or two at Ha Ra and can safely say that he is something waiting to happen. Like a storm cloud roiling with varying degrees of air, electricity seemingly dancing along its edges and pregnant with rain, Rob is a talent waiting to happen. Talking to him, hearing him spill forth wisdom and stories, you just know that he's is that storm cloud. You can feel it and you can hear it. At the risk of sounding like a teenage girl, he simply is the best writer I personally know.
If you get a chance, visit Rob's blog, Dopey Nowhere and see if I'm right.
