28 Days Later In what could amount to be one of the most interesting zombie/Armageddon movies to see the light of day in many a year, 28 Days Later, a new film by Danny Boyle is set to release in London at the end of the month. US audiences will have to wait until the first of the new year. The synopsis: 28 days later tells the story of a virus that locks those infected into a permanent state of killing rage. The virus, which is accidentally released from a British research facility, is carried by animals and humans, is impossible to contain, and spreads across the entire planet. Twenty-eight days later, a small group of survivors are trapped in London, caught in a desperate struggle to protect themselves from the infected. As they attempt to salvage a future from the apocalypse, they find that their most deadly enemy is not the virus, but other survivors. Boyle, you may or may not recall, is responsible for such films as The Beach, Shallow Grave, Life Less Ordinary and most notably, Trainspotting. Based on the trailer that you can view on the movies website, we can count on the same oversaturated cinematography that has won him acclaim in both critical and artistic circles.
