I had a dream last night that has left me with a feeling that I can't seem to shake. And it wasn't the normal dream I have featuring a snake rolling a doughnut and wearing a vest (I've had that one since I watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure...I don't know why). Anyway, it could have been because I was in a strange bed, in a strange house, filled with strangers (what else would a strange house be filled with?) but I don't think so. I've been having some rather unusual dreams lately, all spawned by the usual things... Too much of one, none of the other...and since I have a full-time job, you can pretty much guess where that leaves me. I have thought about the email a friend sent me last week so that may account for some of these strange dreams. For no other reason than to waste time, I find myself rehashing old conversations about that particular subject. Some of them, seen from a much clearer perspective, are interesting to say the least. It seems that these thoughts will be with me until I can find something else to occupy that part of the brain that deals with "unfinished" business. What was the best movie to be released so far this year? At this point I'd have to say it was the Cohen Brothers retelling of Homer's Odyssey, OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU? If you haven't seen it, you should check this one out on the big screen. I think it’ll win the Academy Award for Best Screenplay Adapted from an Original Work as well as the Best Cinematography nod for Roger Deakins.
